The New Delhi government has taken a series of measures to deal with air pollution, including turning wasteland into "new forests", involving college students in tree planting, and forcing high-rise buildings, hotels and Delhi Airport to install anti-fog guns and pollution control equipment.
Revision of the National Clean Air Program Act: In the first quarter of 2025, India will revise the National Clean Air Program Act, focusing on enriching two aspects: first, mandatory promotion of greening projects, requiring the planting of 1.35 billion trees within 10 years to create "green corridors" to purify the air; second, increase financial support for air governance, provide 1040 billion rupees (about 1.2 billion US dollars) for the National Clean Air Program (NCAP) to help 131 cities with substandard air quality enhance pollution monitoring capabilities, formulate urban action plans, and carry out public awareness campaigns.
